I provided comprehensive design services including space planning, creating a detailed design guide, finish selection, tile design, and custom vanity specification. Working within the client’s budget, I guided placement decisions for key elements like outlets and toilet location, and collaborated with the contractor to execute the plan.

Challenge

This small bathroom felt cramped and dated, lacking both functionality and visual appeal. The space required significant structural updates including new plumbing and electrical systems. The client desired a spa-like environment with touches of color while staying within budget. The goal was to create a serene, modern bathroom that felt more spacious and provided storage—all within the constraints of the existing footprint and financial parameters.

Design Solution

I restructured the layout to maximize openness and functionality. With the contractor, we raised the ceilings to create an airier, more expansive feel. Nearly every element was replaced with carefully selected materials that work together to create modern, clean lines. New tile throughout establishes texture and visual interest, while a fresh paint palette introduces subtle color that enlivens the space.

A custom-designed vanity provides essential storage while serving as a focal point, topped with durable quartz countertops. Updated plumbing and electrical infrastructure allowed for improved lighting that enhance the bathroom’s functionality.
